Wonderful Wildflowers

The south west is home to one of the richest flora in the world with over 2500 varieties of wildflowers and 150 varieties of orchids, many of which are rare and endangered. Botanical enthusiasts, artists, tourists and locals alike flock from near and far to explore the regions countryside for a chance to observe the mesmerizing colours and intricate details of the flowers and orchids; from the native Kangaroo Paws to the elusive but magnificent Dunsborough Orchid and many, many more.

Taunton Farm is centrally located to many of the best spots for exploring and experiencing the wonders of the wildflowers, and our friendly staff are always on hand to point you in the right direction.  A couple of our favourite places to witness the flowers in bloom are Carbunup Reserve, Boranup Forest, Ambergate Reserve and all the way along the Cape to Cape track (in particular the area surrounding Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse where you also might spot a whale or two!). The location, variety and abundance of flowers vary dramatically from year to year but when staying at Taunton Farm Holiday Park, you will never be far from the spectacular sights.
