Just 2.5 hours north of Sydney, 50 minutes north of Newcastle, Karuah is a quiet little town, just 5 minutes off the Pacific Highway. This makes us a great “snack-size” road trip!
Whether you have 1, 2, 3 or 4 nights, we’ve got you covered for plenty to see and do in our fantastic peaceful location right on the river at Karuah. You’ll find it easy access to both shores of Port Stephens from Nelson Bay on the southern side to Hawks Nest and Tea Gardens on the northern side.
If you can only spare a night, many travelers heading north or south find us in a convenient location for an overnight stop out of Sydney and we have drive-through caravan sites available so you don’t even have to un-hitch. If you are just bringing your car, then you will love our great range of accommodation, with free parking right alongside your villa or studio unit.
The local Karuah RSL Club runs a courtesy bus every evening and has a great Chinese and Australia menu. Out little town has all the basic supplies you need including a 24 hour fuel station, IGA, bakery, bottleshop, pharmacy and more.
You will love all the park facilities, including our private 250 metre long jetty, swimming pool, tennis and volleyball courts and the kids will love the giant jumping pillow, playground, water splash play area and much more!
Just 20-30 minutes drive south you will find Medowie Macadamia Farm, Oakvale Wildlife Park, Irukanji Shark and Ray Encounters, Murray’s Brewery and Sand Dune Adventures.
